6th July- Under a grey sky on the Khimski Reservoir, Moscow, Russia, Victory 1 added another 20 points to their total at the top of the World Class 1 table. The Qatari duo of Sheikh Hassan and Steve Curtis in Qatar 96 and Abdullah Al Salaiti and Matteo Nicolini in Qatar 95 rounded off 2nd and 3rd places. However the race was not without incident on the tight reservois circuit as Qatar 96 tried to squeeze through a gap between the two Victory boats that did not exsist. Qatar 96 received damage and Victory 7 was holed at back end. "You will have to ask them how that happened" said Jean Sanchez, throttleman of Victory 7. Cirillini and Carrasco escaped unscathed after their Roscoli Hotels nearly collidied with a berthed passenger ferry.
